It is grey and cold in the morning. It is the middle of winter in Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Mount Temple drifts in and out of cloud cover, but when the glacier appears at the top it shines in a silver blue light. The sun is trying to break out on the distant tree tops. The ice has yet to fully cover the river. Even though the scene is grey, upon closer inspection there is a myriad of subtle colour present. This painting was painted while staying at “A Banff Boutique Inn” who’s gracious hosts to set up there as a base.
