Banff Morning

An on site painting done in Banff in late fall. It is morning and the sun is shining across the forested valley. Snow capped distant mountains punctuate the scene. This is the original colour study done for a larger painting. I always find it interesting how an on site painting provides me with the colours of a scene so much better than a photograph.
